The Running BattleA WAB Scenario for the Punic Wars
by Anthony Edwards
Basic gist: The defender is retreating from a larger attacking army, for any number of reasons. Unfortunately the attacker has other ideas.
This is best played longwise down a table. The defender may deploy his army in the center 18" strip across the table. The attacker may deploy up not closer than 18" to the rearmost unit of the defender. The race is to get more than half of the defenders units, unbroken and not fleeing, into the opposite 12" of the table edge.
The attacker should have about a 50% advantage in points.
